What we collect
Cinelingo collects the minimum needed to run an account and remember where you were in a film. That falls into three groups.
Why we need it
Your account details identify you and let you sign in on another device. Learning activity is the product itself — without it Cinelingo could not resume a film, keep your saved lines attached to their scenes, or show your progress.
Technical data keeps playback working across devices and tells us which bugs to fix first.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your viewing history with advertisers, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you watch.
How long we keep it
Account and learning data stay while your account is open. Close it and we delete the account within thirty days, keeping only what tax and accounting law requires us to hold on billing records.
Saved phrases are kept while your account is open so a paused subscription does not lose your work.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do the following, free of charge, by writing to info@learncinelingo.com.
Children
Cinelingo is not for under-13s, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Some films in the library carry adult themes; a parent or guardian should set up and supervise a teenager’s account.
Changes to this policy
If we change something that affects you, we email account holders before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Earlier versions are available on request.
Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. We reply within thirty days, usually the same week.
